Q1：Now your Japanese new album was released and your first Japan Tour is realized. How is your feeling now? When you work in Japan, is there any difference from other asian countries?
質問1：日本語のアルバムもリリースし、最初のジャパンツアーも実現しました。今のお気持ちは？ 日本で仕事をする時、他の国との違いはありますか？
Leehom：I am so excited to have now not only released my first japanese album, but also completed my first Japan concert tour! It was really a rare treat for me to perform in the small venues of this tour, and in some ways believe it or not, I found it more challenging than performing in stadium concerts! I thoroughly enjoyed this week of touring Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka and I'm looking forward to next spring's 2nd concert tour.
I enjoy making music, and also enjoy gaining musical knowledge through experience. The opportunity to sing in Japanese has given me both already, and has been so fun! My experiences here in Japan are different than other countries because everything here is new to me...I really am a new artist again!
リーホン：日本語のアルバムをリリースしただけじゃなく、最初のジャパン・コンサート・ツアーも終了して、今凄く興奮してます！ 今回のような小さな会場で演るのは僕にとって珍しいことなんで、信じてくれるかどうかわからないけど、スタジアムでコンサートを演るよりもずっと挑戦的でした！ 今週は東京、名古屋、大阪と1週間ずっとツアーをエンジョイしたし、来年春のセカンド・コンサート・ツアーを楽しみにしています。
僕は楽しんで音楽を作っているし、経験から音楽の知識を得ることも楽しんでいます。日本語で歌う機会はその両方をもたらしてくれたし、すごく楽しかった！ 日本での経験が他の国と違うのは、ここではすべてが僕にとって新しいということ。僕はほんとにまた、新人アーチストなったんです！
Q2：You can speak so many language. Is it difficult to study Japanese for you or not? Please tell us the point of how to study foreign language.
質問2：あなたはたくさんの言語が話せますが、日本語の勉強は難しいですか？ 外国語を勉強する時のコツを教えてください。
Leehom：Learning foreign languages to me is a lot like learning a new musical instrument. At first, it feels strange and sounds awful! But after years of practice and careful attention, you can grow to become a master as long as you put in the work. I may never be able to speak Japanese like a native speaker, and probably won't ever play the Er Hu as well as the violin, but it's great to be able to have some degree of proficiency in order to show respect towards different styles/cultures.
リーホン：外国語を勉強することは、僕にとっては新しい楽器を学ぶことにかなり似ています。最初は奇妙な感じだしひどい音！ でも何年か注意深く練習すれば、励んだ分だけ使いこなせるようになる。僕はネイティブみたいにうまく日本語はしゃべれないだろうし、おそらく、バイオリンほどうまく二胡を弾くこともないでしょう。でも、違ったスタイルや文化に対して敬意を表すために、ある程度の上達はできるっていうことが大きいんです。
Q3：Do you have any ideas or plans to communicate with your fans in Japan in the future?
質問3：これから、どうやって日本のファンたちと交流していきたいと思いますか？
Leehom：I love all my fans and hope to be in touch with as many as possible! Of course the best way to communicate with my fans is through my music, but there are many other ways as well...like doing this on-line interview!
リーホン：ファンの皆さんはすべて大好きですし、できるだけ多く接していきたいと思います。もちろん、ファンと交流する最高の方法は音楽を通じてですが、他にもたくさんの方法があります…例えばこのオンライン・インタビューとかね！
